Nurses' Stress, Attitude, and Performance during Terminal Care Towards Do-Not-Resuscitate Patients

Abstract
Purpose: This study was to evaluate the nurses¡¯ stress, attitudes, and performance degree during terminal care towards DNR patients.

Methods: Data were collected from self-report questionnaires given to 333 nurses at B hospitals located in 4 metropolitan cities.

Results: The average score of terminal care stress of the subjects was 3.70, terminal care attitudes was 2.86, terminal care performance degree was 2.67.

Conclusions: To improve terminal care quality towards DNR patient, it is necessary to receive the hospice ward nurse¡¯s cooperation as soon as possible.
